#Lore24 Weekly Post (26/52) - D66 Prompt Lists (1)

I've been wanting to write more in my settings/projects, and that definitely motivated my decision to soft reboot my solarpunk setting. All of the stuff I've written so far for the Bear Coast / Gold Coast has been towards writing some stories around a cast of characters who live in the Bear Coast. I also sometimes find it easier to write out stories if I "gamify" them, so in this case I started planning bits and pieces of an ad hoc narrative rpg system for me to play out some character POVs.

That's where the D66 lists come in. I've been working on some D66 prompt lists for a variety of themes/uses, mainly ways to create situations and scenarios for a player to roleplay their character through -- it could be small social slice-of-life moments, it could be disasters and emergencies that require skill and grit. At the moment I feel like I have created enough D66 lists (I think I only need to make some NPC prompt lists), so my attention is starting to chew on how to incorporate hexcrawl mechanics into the mix. This setting gives few (if any) opportunities for violent conflict to happen, as it is not quite a traditional hexcrawl, but I am finding ways to make sure characters can sink their time into exploring, socializing with their community, and enjoying slice-of-life moments in a world reeling from climate collapse and undergoing some heavy healing.

Don't fret, I'll shut up now. Let's go to the D66 lists.
